How to enter the competition

The first Scopic competition has now closed. Entries have now been shortlisted and our illustrious panel of judges have chosen the winners.

Best microscopic work went to Emily C (9) of Newker Primary School for her Tonsilrainbowlitis virus. and best telescopic work was awarded jointly to Lakshmi Piette and Catherine Duffell (9) of St Godric's RCVA Primary School for their work Red Hole. Twenty two additional works of art were selected for exhibition. All of these along with their soundtracks created in association with composer Duncan Chapman are live in the gallery.

The artwork created by everyone who entered the Scopic competition will remain in the Scopic gallery. Short-listed works were displayed on a plasma screen throughout the duration of the exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall from 9th - 30th May 2008. In June 2008 the exhibition was moved to Durham University's Calman Learning Centre. The Durham launch will take place on Thursday 19th June at 1.30pm.
